Popular bags of Louis Vuitton

One of the most famous Louis Vuitton bags, 'the Keepall bag', was introduced in 1930. This medium-sized, classic travel bag has comfortable, rounded leather handles and a double zipper. The bag can be recognised by the well-known LV monogram. It is perfect to take along on trips and its model is available in different sizes. Another iconic model belongs to the Louis Vuitton handbags is named 'Speedy' and is one of the most desired bags in the world. It was first created in 1932 and the model is available in different sizes amongst which suitcases and the Speedy 30 is the best-selling. Louis Vuitton shoulder bag and many other bags are often printed with the iconic canvas monogram, which was founded in 1896. This is a pattern in which the letters L and V are written together. Products of this fashion house are often identified by the monogram. However, this is not the first pattern that Louis Vuitton introduced. The Damier pattern, also called the checkerboard pattern was the first pattern that was processed on the product and originated in 1890. The checkerboard pattern is available in different colour combinations and thus, Damier Azur is a combination of dark and light brown while the Ebene canvas is a combination of beige and dark blue. These bags are made of canvases with a coating which protects the bags from rain and are yet very light.

History of the fashion house

As for history, the fashion house has a special story. Louis Vuitton was born in 1821 in eastern France. When he was only ten years old, his mother died and his father quickly remarried, but Louis could not get along with his stepmother. At thirteen, he left his house and walked more than 400 kilometres and arrived in Paris where he apprenticed for a famous Parisian manufacturer of cases and bags. The man with whom he was apprenticed, had many contacts, after which Louis came into contact with the elite of Paris. He was selected in 1853 for the official box score of the French empress. This gave him great respect and he was able to open his own shop. He presented his first trunk line in 1858 and designed unique cases. At that time, suitcases had a round shape, but these bags were rectangular. At that time, a lot of people travelled by train and because of the shape of the suitcases, it was easier to stack the cases on to each other. This made Louis into one of the biggest box manufacturers in France. These suitcases are still beautifully designed and the range is much wider.
