The Parisian haute couture designer Hérve Léger founded his self-titled fashion label in 1985. The designer, who previously worked with at Fendi with Karl Lagerfeld, then for Chanel, and later for Lanvin, still needed a special highlight for his big fashion show. In his search for inspiration, he reached for binding tape and wrapped it around a model - and thus the concept of his legendary “stripe dresses” was born. Ever since, the bandage element has been the foundation of every Hervé Léger collection. Since 2007, the celebrated Tunisian-American fashion designer Max Azria has been head designer for the company. Azria was honoured with the Fashion Excellence Award in 2008 for the successful relaunch of the brand. At the same time, he stayed true to the label’s roots: Tight, luxurious, and elegantly sinful. The collections are more in demand than ever. Stars like Kiera Knightley, Sharon Stone and Kate Winslet love the striking and extravagant Hervé Léger clothes.
Hervé Léger dresses
Almost every design shows the fashion label’s famous trademark. Some colourful, some more subtle, the typical stripes and bands can be found in every collection. New, innovative binding techniques are created for this, using the finest fabrics and materials, such as real silk. Additionally, fibres with Elastan, Lycra or Lurex are implemented so that the garments conform perfectly to the body. Dresses in combination with Hervé Léger shoes form the perfect stylish outfit for your evening.
